Hi my name is Jennie,
Having recently retired, living in Stretford and I wanted to give something back to my community.
I have supported Trafford North foodbank by previously making donations. Plus, I’m a friend of the manager Louise and she is always talking about all the great work that is done.
Meeting other volunteers and going out on the van collecting donations or shopping for essential items are the activities I enjoy the most. Although, this can bring about a few magical mystery tours along the way!!
The highlights for me are:
- Meeting clients – who are so happy to see us.
- Love that we are making a positive difference.
- A great team spirit – everyone gets along and there is always an opportunity for good banter.
