Volunteer Intro #Part2

Hi my name is Ian,

I have lived in the Urmston area all my life,  going to school and working in the Trafford area. I retired from full time work 5 years ago. I  felt I needed to give something back to the community I have lived in for such a long time.

I contacted our local foodbank in Stretford in 2022 and started volunteering as a driver that year. Driving for Trafford North Foodbank consists of collecting food from various supermarkets and other contributors and most importantly delivering food parcels to our clients.

Meeting our clients is very humbling, there are a lot of people out there in great need, and it feels good to try and support them.

Its a pleasure to go there and meet up, and most importantly support people who are going through difficult times.
