Our Story
Our foodbank began in June 2016 as Stretford Foodbank and was based at the Trafford Christian Life Centre on Barton Road.
The foodbank was open 2 mornings per week for those needing help in the North Trafford area and by referral from local partners.
The foodbank changed quite significantly during the 2020 Covid pandemic, when we were no longer able to meet clients in person and the service became a delivery service during this time and remains so to this day.
We operate from The Leathwaite Centre on Winchester Road 5 days per week and offer delivery to all clients.
We offer a combination of cupboard staples and fresh food items plus cleaning and laundry items, toiletries and pet food.
We changed our name to Trafford North Foodbank in October 2024 and serve all residents living in this area. We have 3 part time staff and currently have 50 volunteers working with us each week.
